Owing to the severely cold weather, all government and private schools in Noida will remain closed on January 20th and 21st as per the announcement made by the district administration. Besides this, the schools of Ghazibad have been ordered to stay closed from January 20th to 22nd.

Chandra Shekhar, ADM (administration) Gautam Budh Nagar, said, “Management of schools of all the boards in Noida and Greater Noida have been directed to close the schools due to intense cold for two days.” He further went on to inform that Basic Siksha Adhikaris have been assigned to make sure that the schools remain closed as per the orders.

Schools seem clueless about the announcement as they claim to have not received any information about the closure. Sumita Malik, Head, Pre-primary, Shiv Nadar School, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway said, “We will close the school once we get the information.”

However, the officials of the district administration are quick to add that the schools have been informed about the closure decision through emails and other channels.
