Schools should also strive to promote a better understanding amongst their teachers and staff on the laws protecting the safety, security and interests of the students – CBSE

In a recently issued circular, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines and directives for affiliated schools to strictly adhere to. It advises the schools to ensure that they comply with all the guidelines issued by MHRD and Board from time to time.

In a recently issued circular, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines and directives for affiliated schools to strictly adhere to. It advises the schools to ensure that they comply with all the guidelines issued by MHRD and Board from time to time.

These directives include:

(1) Security / Safety Audit of the school

(2) Installation of CCTV cameras

(3) Police Verification and psychometric testing of all school staff members

(4) Constitute a parent-teacher-students committee

(5) Controlled and monitored access to school building

(6) Training and development for staff

The circular further say that any violation/lapses with regard to safety and well being of children would lead to strict actions including the disaffiliation of the school as per the provisions under Affiliation Bye-Laws of CBSE.
