Here’s yet another altruistic gesture of compassion by the very humble and empathetic Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. Sonu has been in continuous highlight during the COVID-lockdown for providing his constant help to those in need. After the homeless daily-wage labourers, it is now the school-going kids in remote India that he is determined to serve.
Recently, he was tagged in a plightful tweet of a journalist, Hina Rohtaki, from Chandigarh, about children of Morni village, Haryana-Himachal border.
Sonu immediately rose to help and stepped forward to distribute mobile phones among the children who could not afford to study online while the schools are closed.
Until now, these children had to travel miles to take online classes due to no gadget availability in their area. When their struggle was captured by Rohtaki in her article, their story went viral. She then tweeted about the same tagging multiple powerful people along with Sonu Sood, however, received an immediate reply by the latter saying that the children would receive mobile phones the next day. And that’s exactly what happened.
Sonu’s actions may not need any validation or appreciation but still, the country is hailing his name with gratitude and pride. The education sector needs more such real-life heroes to walk through these difficult times.
