St. Edmund’s School, Jaipur partners with Mallinckrodt Gymnasium Germany

Collaborations are generally complex and spread over different phases. However, if the aim of the collaboration is clear then driving the agenda is easy and the rewards are manifold. Something similar was experience by the team of Principal Dr. Pooja Singh and Deputy Director Mr. Kapil Singh from St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur on their visit to Germany.

The senior team from St. Edmund’s was visiting Germany to partner with Mallinckrodt Gymnasium, one of the oldest and prestigious elementary and middle school of Germany to initiate a knowledge partnership initiative.

A warm welcome was extended to the team from St. Edmunds by the Principal Mr. ChristophWeishaupt. In the school, classroom visits were conducted to get the Indian team familiar with the teaching pattern there. It was followed by student interactions where they showed keenness to learn Hindi. They were curious to know more about Indian culture, the weather and even the elegant outfit worn by the ladies “A sari” sported by Dr. Pooja Singh.

The School also organised a musical concert in which 50-70 students participated where they played different musical instruments from Saxophone to drums, from flutes to trumpets. The concert showcased student talent for a full 2 hours. The special highlight of the concert was then the students coordinated their musical performance to the short videos of popular movies like James Bond and Lord of the Rings which was appreciated by one and all.

Principal Dr. Pooja Singh said that, this maybe the beginning of a historic partnership. Our trip was successful by the benchmark of the positive relation which we have initiated with our German counterpart. We hope that over time our relationship strengthens further and we bring more value to both the partners.
