The future of education is presently in the making. With each technological breakthrough and each pedagogical innovation, the envelope is pushed a little further and new barriers are breached. The change is perpetual and those who want to lead this evolution in education have to stay abreast of the cutting-edge pedagogy and new tech.

To keep today’s educators informed, equipped, and skilled with these new-age competencies, Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR), an initiative of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, is conducting a one-of-its-kind virtual professional development programme called STTAR FUTURE LEARNING SYSTEMS from May 23 to May 27, 2022.  The five-day flagship programme is being organized in collaboration with STTAR’s global partners Global Education Futures and The Weaving Lab.

What makes this online programme stand apart is the relevance of the topics it will delve into. All the significant Trends Shaping Future Learning Systems will be covered on the opening day itself to lay the ground for deeper learning ahead. What new instructional strategies are on the horizon? How will the emergence of Web 3.0 change the learning and teaching experiences? How will collaboration and co-creation shape the future of education? Renowned global academic Dr Pavel Luksha, Founder and Director of Global Education Futures, will helm the session and also be a constant guiding presence throughout the course of the five-day programme.

Bringing in a societal perspective, Prof Alexander Laszlo, a renowned scientist and President of the International Society For The Systems Sciences (ISSS) will deliver the keynote address on Education Transitions For Societal Transformations, which will be a highly informative session for the educators aspiring to make a difference in society.

New Tech shall be the focus of the session on Technology For New-Age Education & Skills by Dr. R Raman, Director of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. From machine learning and artificial intelligence to neural networks, Dr. Raman will cover a wide ground to highlight the role of technology in future education. Likewise, Professor Sandra Milligan, Director of Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne, Australia, will lay out the vision of New-Age Learning and Assessments.   

The final day will feature a pertinent session on Educational Transformation And Leadership For Future Learning Systems by Dr. Valerie Hannon, a redoubtable veteran in the field of education and also Senior Advisor to the OECD Education 2030 Project. Dr. Hannon will touch upon the challenges that the world of education currently faces and elaborate on the teaching and learning competencies that are needed to transform our society and shape our future towards sustainability. Fitting right in after this will be the session on Changing Role of Faculty by Dr. Rajeev Singh, Associate Dean, Academics, Shiv Nadar University.

The sessions are also backed by global case studies, the most notable of which will be on Student Engagement by Prof Pim Van Geest, CEO of Global Education Futures, and on Community of Education Transformation Lab by Ms. Ekaterina Loshkareva, Former R&D Director of WorldSkills.
