Students of St Edmund’s School Jawahar Nagar went euphoric with the success of their two-day art exhibition at Jawahar Kala Kendra on 20 and 21 February, which was inaugurated by RB Gautam, eminent artist and president of Progressive Art Group of Rajasthan, Hansraj, the guest of honour, NL Naga and Lakhan Singh Jat, Rajasthan’s eminent sculpture artists, along with were some special guests, the teachers and students of St Louis High School, France. Calling it Euphoria, the fourth annual art exhibition saw students experimenting with shapes, colours, and textures.

As the budding artists from classes 6 to 10 displayed their paintings, Rajasthan vision, nature, mythology, Madhubani and folk art remained the centres of attraction, all of which were highly appreciated by Hansraj.

The international delegates too were astonished at the display by the youngsters as one of them said, “I must say that they should be encouraged to enhance their talent. There should be more exhibitions of young children so that they are encouraged to paint more.”

The principal Dr Pooja Singh too was ecstatic with the overwhelming response from the visitors, crediting it all to the students. Deputy director, Kapil Singh further added that the school does not believe in limiting the students, they rather allow the students to choose their own space.
