21 students of Maheshwari Girls Public School, Vidyadhar Nagar visited the state police commissionerate’s latest Abhay Command Centre.

During the discussion with the students, Dr. Vikas Pathak, the Deputy Commissioner (Crime) of the Police gave information about the innovations being made by the Women Helpline and Jaipur Police for the general public, especially women protection, such as Raj Mahila Suraksha App. He said that the Jaipur Police will provide better security of the common man and, as soon as the control room gets information in a critical situation, the police will reach the spot immediately, thereby providing immediate relief to the victims.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. Kamal Shekhawat said that the girl students saw the live demonstration of CCTV cameras on the video wall at Abhay Command Centre. Detailed information was given to the girl students on the state of the art technical video surveillance number 100 dial system, dispatcher, forensic technique and the functioning of the command centre.

She said that the cameras on the main roads of the city and the highway have also been linked to the control room. The recording of these cameras will be stored for a month.

The girls said that this Command Centre will be useful to the public in prevention of crime.
