Madeline Stuart, teenager suffering from down syndrome, proved her mettle at a world level by walking the ramp of the prestigious New York Fashion Week runway.

Believe in your dreams to make them come true … is something we are generally taught as a success mantra. Madeline, from the day she saw a fashion parade, told her dreams to her mom. She couldn’t manage anything more than, “Mum, Me, Model”. Hearing her darling daughter’s aspiration, the encouraging mommy geared-up and began with her healthy dieting schedule, going forward with her photo shoot and then finally RAMP WALK.

After hard and persistent work from the mommy-daughter duo, the proud mommy uploaded photographs of her daughter on Facebook, adding to the family’s happiness who poured in lot more offers for Madeline. Elated, Madeline’s mother said, “Madeline is very excited. I think it’s amazing that she’s been given this opportunity. It’s a fantastic platform for us to get our beliefs across on inclusion and disability.”

The girl is no less than a superstar now, with a handbag line (belonging to brand EverMaya) named after her. What is all the more amazing is the fact that the money earned from the sales of these bags is given to National Down Syndrome society.

We at ScooTalks salute the girl’s courage who fought back the hassles she faced and her parents’ courage who put in their best efforts to bring their daughter’s talent to limelight.
