All of us have stayed up on the night of Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to come and give us a gift. And we've all wished that he comes at least thrice a year instead of just once. I think Santa heard us. Because these teens have decided to fill in for him!

Meet Anoushka, Rashi and Aryamaan who come every month with their bag of gifts.

Founders of an NGO called 'Toy-Joy', they gift happiness to the under-privileged by collecting toys and gift wrapping them.

"We want to give them the joy of unwrapping a gift." Says the 16 year old Anoushka and Rashi.

Aryamaan is from Kolkata and Anoushka's cousin. He came over for holidays to Jaipur when the three of them decided to execute this plan. They began the journey on May 11 with full support from their family. They set up a facebook page with the address and contacts on it and within two days, they had started getting queries asking where and how should they contribute.

Their first contribution came all the way from Ahmadabad with 15 toys and board games.

The strategy is to collect as many toys as they can, gift wrap them and give it to the kids on the streets on the last day of the month. So far, they have collected 60 toys.

They have been using old gift wrappers to wrap them.

Other than toys, they also collect story books and comics and plan to give it to an organisation that works for children.

They have two branches, one in Jaipur which is managed by the girls and the other in Kolkata that is managed by Aryamaan.

The response has been very positive. and they have been receiving a lot of messages on their page for contribution.

In talk with the scoonews team, Rashi said;

"Gift wrapping the toys is our unique idea because the excitement and joy of opening a gift is priceless."

"There will always be a kid waiting for a toy and there will always be a toy waiting to spread joy" added Anoushka.

They could spend their holidays in any way but they chose to spread happiness.

ToyJoy is also a part of our campaign JoyPour that aims to make the summers bearable for the under-privileged.
