Blindfolded, yet reading fluently. Can that happen?

Yes, says a 12-year-old boy. He explains that he can be a live example for this!

R Madheswaran has developed this talent with much practice and hard work to read anything even when blindfolded. It is probably his love for written alphabets and numbers that he can smell each alphabet. Yes! The kid analysis the words with their smell and not only this, but he also writes them using the technique of smelling them.

And to prove himself to himself, to gain confidence on his talent, this young student attempted his examination with blindfolds on. He was the centre of attraction at his school, Sri Ramakrishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, that day.

This young a boy, on the threshold to achieve an unimaginable feat …

Not only did he complete it without any difficulty, he completed his exam within time as well.

But why did he do so?

Well, as his parents explain, he never had had any troubles with his eyes. He had a message behind his acts. He wants people who have been blessed with healthy eyes to know what eyes can mean to those who are blind. He wants awareness among one and all about eye-donation to be spread.

The parents surely are proud of their son … not for their child’s achievements … but for the message that such a young child is trying to spread. They also thank the brain-fold activation programme that helped him gain concentration and confidence

This child’s special talent and act is not only unique but is also worth praising for. Nevertheless he deserves a salute; not every one of us can think of a social cause at such a young age!
