Every teacher around the world is trying their best to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to their students, especially now that the schools are reopening and smaller children would go to school as well. Some similar effort was seen by Cikgu Farra, a teacher in Tabika Talang Hulu School in Perak, Malaysia. She painted her kindergarten building to make it look like a deck of a spaceship.
The work began and she started uploading pictures of the progress. From black backgrounds for space to painting comets, planets and a detailed 3D spaceship cockpit, she did it all. Parents and teachers worked together to make this happen. “People think of village teachers as being ordinary or boring but we want to change that belief,” said Farra in one of her social media posts.
This incredibly creative teacher was helped by a Malaysian artist, Art Jib. He helped Farra in transforming the school by painting the murals and doing some detailing 3D work. He said she had all the ideas since the beginning and that he only did what was asked of him. "Farra and kids' parents painstakingly refurbished the school's old furniture and plumbing, raised funds for tools and furnishings, and beautified the rest of the place with all the finishing touches,” he said.
Together, they began transforming the school at the beginning of the year. Now that the painting process is over, Farra is now changing some furnishing around the school to match the new decor.

Surely, the pre-schoolers of this school are going to love the new look and also learn about the space. Such teachers who painstakingly work for the betterment of their students and the school are an inspiration to all.
