This student from Allenhouse Public School to meet Angela Merkel through her proficiency in German

Sanjna Singh of Class VIII from Allenhouse Public School, Ghaziabad is among  the 31 selected students from across India, who is currently in Germany.

Max Mueller Bhavan had organized a competition for German learners and Teachers in India early this year. 'Start up with German' is a competition which is initiated by the German Embassy, New Delhi and sponsored by the Federal Chancellors Office in Berlin. 

Students between the age group 12 to 14 years were required to showcase their language skills by submitting a presentation on Environment, Hobbies or Internet. The winners of the competition have been awarded with a fully paid scholarship for a language course and have got the Golden Opportunity to meet the Chancellor Frau Angela Merkel.

Sanjna Singh of Class VIII from Allenhouse Public School, Ghaziabad is among  the 31 selected students from across India, who is currently in Germany. Many students from Kendriya Vidyalayas and other public and private schools in India had also participated in this competition. 

The scholarship includes a three week intensive language course in Dresden, attractive sightseeing and cultural programs, and visit to Berlin – Germany's capital. These students of German language will be sharing their experience with the world through a blog showcasing their experience and achievements.
