As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) mulls approaching the apex court to challenge the recent Delhi high court ruling asking it to continue with its marks moderation policy, the Union Education Minister Prakash Javadekar has assured all students and parents that justice will be done and exam results will be declared on time.

"CBSE result will be declared on time, the date will be told by CBSE. No need to worry about court's order, justice will be done for all",said Mr Javadekar.

Delhi High Court asked the CBSE not to discard its "moderation policy" to add grace marks to students for difficult questions in exams in response to a plea filed by a parent. The board may have to rework marks & students and parents fear this would delay the exam results .

Nearly 11 lakh students appeared for the central board's Class 12 exams and some nine lakh appeared for the Class 10 exam in 2017.
