In this very difficult year of 2020, on 5th September, Teacher’s Day, here are two videos that we want you to watch and feel grateful for all the educators you’ve encountered in your life so far.

These videos by The Puppetarians and Rocksport show what diligent and noble community our educators belong to.

The Puppetarians are a one-of-its-kind puppetry team in India. They travel all across the world to do shows, workshops and participate in video/TV work meant to educate young students. They use puppets to spread the educational messages that are a fun and effective way of learning.

The Puppetarians, Sangya Ojha and Hashim Haider, say, "We bring to you a love note from Teachers to their students. It's the story of every teacher. Heartfelt thanks and love to every teacher in the world. You are our Hero/Shero!”

In their recent video, they have given a tribute to educators in the form of Hindi poetry. Commemorating Teacher’s Day, the team takes us back to the school days as their puppets explain, in a very poetic manner, how our teachers don’t believe in giving up and are used to facing tough times head-on. They tell us how the teachers have always been there to make learning possible for their students.

Watch the video showing two whimsical puppet-characters narrating the beautifully written poem about the lives of teachers from a teacher’s perspective itself.

Another video is by Rocksport, Asia’s largest adventure program, that introduces participants to the world of adventure sports.

In their recent video, Rocksport has applauded the efforts made by the educators when they were suddenly asked to teach online during the pandemic.

Their almost 2-minute-long video shows how, even after the 180-degree turn that the education system took, these teachers kept coming up with new innovative ideas to continue teaching their students uninterrupted. In the video, you will hear an emotional narrative acknowledging the wonderful ideas and struggles the Indian educators have encountered so far, like using a refrigerator tray as a glass screen to shoot math problem-solving, using cloth hangers to fasten the phone while teaching on the board and recording it all, etc. The short film is indeed a tribute to show respect to the teaching community on this Teacher’s Day.

Team Rocksport says: ‘Rocksport salutes the Educators of India for being the cornerstone of the country's education system. Through this video, we honour them and express our heartfelt gratitude for never giving up and constantly innovating there teaching methodologies even with limited resources to ensure that a child’s education does not suffer.”
