The Great Indian Learning Festival 2023 Wraps Up with Resounding Success

ScooNews, in collaboration with The Daly College, Indore, hosted the 2nd edition of The Great Indian Learning Festival, #GILF2023, from 14th to 16th December 2023. This groundbreaking event united educators, schools, and students from all corners of India in a celebration of education and innovation.

The festival boasted an attendance of 1000+ delegates including 27 speakers, participation from 15 states & 43 cities, and 98 schools nationwide. #GILF2023 was not just a festival; it was an extravaganza of education. Dr. Gunmeet Bindra, Principal, Daly College Indore, and Mr. Ravi Santlani, CEO, ScooNews, extended warm welcomes to guests and students alike.

The conference commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the flag-hoisting ceremony.

Distinguished Chief Guests, including His Excellency Mr. Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India, and Lobsang Phuntsok, founder of Jhamtse Ghatsal Children’s Community, Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh graced the festival with their presence, contributing to the day 1 of the festival filled with engaging sessions, enlightening panel discussions and the intriguing Hot Seat session. They also indulged in the delightful lunch and Expo. GILF2023 concluded with the ‘Great Indian Learning Awards,’ where the finest of Indian educators, institutions, and service providers were awarded. The event aimed to usher in a fresh era of educational excellence at #GILF2023.

The conference featured major attractions such as Hot Seat – Boarding School Banter, Clash of Titans, and panel discussions on topics such as The Ripple Effect: How Unseen Investment in Middle Management Training Can Create a Culture of Leadership and Student Loneliness in the Age of AI. Additionally, education through monuments was covered, and Kalam se Kirdar tak, a poetry session on the partitions of India, was presented interactively. A group session on peace education and activities like astronomy, tent pitching, DJ, and ‘Walk the Fire’ at the Athletics Ground was organized for the participants to enjoy.

Parallelly, the student track featured sessions such as Yoga, Angling, Gift of the GAB, Bird Watching, Art Classes, Peregrinate, and Adventure Activities. The conference’s activities included a carnival and a Flashmob performed by all the participants energized on day two, demonstrating how unity and learning can grace any place or event.

The conference concluded with a cultural dance performance and the national anthem.
