This ambitious survey was conducted in 30 States and Union Territories throughout India.

The primary focus of this survey is to evaluate students’ proficiencies in Language and Mathematics. It serves as a foundational benchmark for the competencies developed at the conclusion of the foundational, preparatory, and middle stages of education.

The survey’s design is meticulous, with assessment tools tailored to each educational stage and mapped to the identified competencies. The assessment methodology combines a standardized paper-pen approach with the use of technology for scoring and analysis, ensuring precision and efficiency in data collection and validation.
