For Outstanding Education Leadership
Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, the 76th Custodian of the House of Mewar, was a rare blend of statesman, cultural guardian, hotelier, and education advocate. As Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Shriji led a network of philanthropic efforts from the heart of The City Palace, Udaipur. Through the Vidyadan Trust and the Maharana Mewar Historical Publications Trust, he guided over 50 projects in education, heritage conservation, and cultural research.
Under his leadership, the HRH Group of Hotels grew into India's only privately-owned chain of heritage palace-hotels. Yet, for Shriji, education was the true heirloom of civilisation.
The Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar Award celebrates a legacy built on service - and a vision of education that uplifts society while preserving its soul.
Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar understood something rare: that true leadership is not about power, but about what you build for those who come after you. He believed that India's school leaders carry a similar responsibility - to be custodians of knowledge, of values, and of possibility.
The Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar Award is given each year to a school leader who embodies this philosophy - someone who leads not merely for results, but for legacy.
