Doll to Teach Your Doll All About Menstruation

Has anybody ever wondered about dolls assisting girls in learning about menstrual cycle ? Yes! You read it right, now Period Party add-on pack of Lammily dolls will come with their tiny underwear and sanitary towels to help young girls understand menstrual cycle.

Keeping the fact that kids learn better while at play in mind, the developer of Lammily dolls, artist and researcher Nickolay Lamm designed this new addition of dolls which he also named, ‘Normal Barbies’. This edition of the doll also comes with a calendar and an information booklet to let the girls know all about the process of menstruation.

Lamm told The Huffington Post, “I’ve read horror stories of kids thinking that they were dying during their first period. Parents are also wary of approaching this subject. So I feel Lammily’s ‘Period Party’ can introduce kids to menstruation in a very fun and disarming way, and give parents a very useful tool. Menstruation is still a taboo in our society. More than that — sometimes it’s still used as an insult. I just don’t think that something as core to a women’s life and health as menstruation should be seen as embarrassing in any way, shape, or form.”
