Amalgamation of Colors with Imagination and Spirit: Cynosure 2015, Asian World School
Annual functions, mirror image of an entire session, buzz with activity. Cynosure 2015 at Asian World School took us through the gone-by year, giving a peek-a-boo to the coming year … enchanting the entire audience with performances
The world is but a canvas to our imagination – Henry David Thoreau
And Asian World School, Jaipur let its students paint it beautifully.
Bringing its cynosures to the front, the school has come back with Cynosure 2015. Their journey started in the year 2014. In this one year, the school has now come to have undying faith and admiration for their students. Continuing with the tradition, the young cynosures of Asian World School presented a smashing Annual Fest, calling it Cynosure 2015. It was fun, it was a message, it was hard-work, it was a never-ending spirit, it was a lesson, it was an imagination, it was togetherness … It was what Asian World School is!
The evening at the school located amid the beauty of Rajasthan started with a warm welcome extended to the chief guest, followed by lighting of lamp and invoking the deities. The Principal then read out the school report, followed by the school song.

Believing that music provides a new rhythm to life, giving a voice to the soul, the school has formed a musical ensemble … Oceans. The band, like it’s name, took us on a sail, roaring above waves, performing on Rajsthan’s very own, Kesariya Balam, and then on the very next wave was performing on Sweet Child of Mine from “Guns N Roses.” Manish Philip David, the band trainer, watched them teary-eyed!
What was quite unique at Asian World School were the enchanting students presenting an equally enchanting play, The Enchanted Woods – A Magical Extravaganza, which was all about various virtues and vices. The play was spread across eight different scenes, it was long enough to last the entire event. However, playing smart there, each and every scene was brought to an end with a message behind it, which was musically played by decked-up dancers.
With a strong message behind it, the play ended beautifully with all the participants gathering again on the stage, dancing around merrily, and then gradually giving way to the next.
Next was what is the most awaited part among all students, be it any school … the prize distribution ceremony … It started with prizes being given to top academic performers and to top performers in co-curricular activities. The enthusiasm among the students started increasing as it inched closer to the announcement of Student of the Year. The entire school echoed with claps as Ayushi Agarwal, Grade 6th, reached the stage, to receive “Student of the Year” award!
Well, that wasn’t all. There yet was more awaiting us. The grand finale! Unity in Diversity … yeah, talking about India, this is the first thing that comes to minds and the students presented India in the most mesmerizing way … Starting with a patriotic dance and then moving to classical Indian dance forms, like that of Kaalbeliya, Kathakali, Manipuri dance, Bhangra, etc.
