Organisation helps Dadara School gets 3 brand new classrooms.
In a unique display of Private-Government partnership, the Guwahati Round Table 235, a non-religious, non-political organisation has built 3 classrooms of the Shankardev Shishu Niketan in Dadara at the outskirts of Hajo. The new classrooms were inaugurated by education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Notably the Guwahati Round Table 235 is a non-religions, non-political organisation. The new classrooms were inaugurated by education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Dadara school has been adopted by the organisation and these 3 classrooms form the first phase of infrastructure development under the 'Freedom Through Education' project.
This project is working towards helping underprivileged children get a decent education and has lined up 3 more phases of infrastructure development at the school by 2017. The first phase has been completed with a total outlay of 18 lakhs.
"This project proves that the people of this country do not wait for the government to bring about change. Instead, they work with the government to secure the future of India. I am thankful to Guwahati Round Table 235 and Round Table India for this initiative," said Sarma.
Take a cue from Round Table the state BJP MLAs have decided to adopt 5 Vidya Bharti schools and provide better infrastructure to them utilising the MLA-LAD funds. They have committed to provide ₹10 lakh to each school by December 2016. A total of 30 crore has been earmarked for the schools under the project.
Parveen Goyal, an official of Guwahati Round Table 235, said the second phase of the project will commence soon and the project was currently moving at a satisfactory pace.
