At a seminar organized in Patna on 'Contemporary challenges and solutions of education system,', Delhi's deputy chief minister and education minister Manish Sisodia in the wake of intermedicate toppers' scam asked the people to take the responsibility of improving the education system of Bihar.

The senior AAP leader also said that active steps need to be taken in order to check the growing influence of market over education system which will have detrimental repercussions.

"Our government has created a new post of estate manager for every school in Delhi to take care of issues such as maintenance of school buildings and other non-teaching activities in order to lessen the extra baggage of teachers," he said and added that in order to improve the quality of education, teachers must be freed from the non-teaching activities.

He criticized the prevailing education system and claimed that instead of teaching complementary values, it teaches opposite values which are leading to social crises like violence against women.

According to the Sisodia, "The existing method of teaching must be dropped and focus should be shifted to learning and growth," and the role of schools must be changed to centres of learning like ancient Nalanda and Vikramshila

"There is a sharp difference between the humans and resources. This directly affects the things down the line. No individual likes to be a resource or tool, but our system is trying to develop resources in place of confident individuals. These small things are, in turn, leading to workplace and individual imbalances which in extreme cases lead to random ending of life." he said and highlighted the importance of inclusive growth saying that India has human resource development (HRD) ministry in place of education ministry.
