The STEAMS (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Sports) approach needs to take over the STEM approach.
Stuck in a time warp, we need to break the shell and realise that the contemporary world demands designers, musicians, dancers, painters, actors and sportspersons.
